Brighton & Hove have more restaurants per capita than any other area in the UK except for London. With that kind of volume, you are more than likely to stumble across a not-so-awful-but-not-at-all-memorable meal in any one of several eating establishments.
Eating out is not cheap. And for most of us, it’s a luxury that we look forward to on payday when we feel like we actually have a bit of dinero. I, for one, absolutely cringe when I have to hand over my debit card at the end of an uneventful meal, thinking “Wow. I could’ve made something *so* much better than this at home. And I wouldn’t be forking out £25 either.”
This blog will be an attempt (among other things I’m sure) to steer all of you good people AWAY from such places. There are so many GOOD restaurants and cafes in our fair town of Brighton (and I want to give them props on here as well) that it’s simply criminal to end up at Cafe d’Mediocre thinking that a frozen pizza from Waitrose would be so much better.
